About the artist
Kuba Falk (born 1984, Poland), an intermediate artist and performer, creates and interprets "bodytales", as he calls performative actions realized in various formats, through which he combines work with text and his interests, particularly in the area of ecofeminist thought, mythology, and rituals. He uses a provocative gesture, juxtaposing the practice of the care paradigm with the reality of technocratic dystopia. Falk also creates sculptural objects and installations referencing nature, as well as music for his performances.
Falk has created over 50 actions, presenting them worldwide at numerous festivals, exhibitions, and venues such as The Watermill Center, Long Island, NY; Baryshnikov Arts Center, NYC; Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin; Grace Exhibition Space, NYC; WeHo Pride Arts, LA; Art in Nature Festival, Gars, Austria; National Museum in Krakow, Poland; Grey Space Gallery, The Hague, Netherlands; Performance Crossings Festival, Prague, Czech Republic; Carbonarium Festival, Kyiv, Ukraine; F.a.i.t. Gallery Krakow, Poland; Epipiderme Festival, Lisbon, Portugal; Espacio OFF Limits, Madrid, Spain; Galeria CMTV, Barcelona, Spain; Interakcje Festival, Poland; Performance Platform Lublin Festival, Poland, and others throughout Europe and the Americas.
