Anatoly Belov

Anatoly Belov, an artist originally from Kyiv, currently living in Linz, Austria, has been working as a contemporary artist since 2004 using various media (graphics, video, land art, film, musical performance, music). In his works, he addresses themes such as homosexuality, corporality, reflection on his daily life in society, as well as working with the myth of the goddess Cybele as a symbol of the divine protector of all LGBTQ+ people, a new status that the author has bestowed upon the goddess herself. He is currently collaborating with screenwriters Ljosha Chashchyn and Gosha Babansky on a graphic fantasy horror titled "Uncanny Valley" ("Osobliwa Dolina"). This story is inspired by his own experiences from the first months of the conflict in Ukraine and his experiences as a refugee in Austria, seen through the prism of a fantastic surreal universe where the events of the graphic novel take place.
