Zygmunt Piotrowski

Zygmunt Piotrowski (born in 1947). He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1968-74). From the beginning of the 1970s, an active participant in the independent culture movement (Grupa Samokształceniowa AB, search Student Dean's Center, halls Warsaw), halls where he conducted interdisciplinary studies on cooperation in the creative process (1972-81). He deals with performance art. Since the 1970s, he has been working in the original discipline of Groundwork Fine Art. He was one of the founders of the international group of performance artists Black Market in 1985, from which he left in 1988 to devote himself to individual activity. In 1987-1990, he made the vision of his artistic activity more specific by referring to the concept of HERITAGE and describing it as an individual religious experience and contemplative practice, recognized in the rigors of the creative process. Since the 1980s, he has been creating his own publications, Praca u Źródła. Since 2009, he has been operating under the name NOAH WARSAW, extending the formula of performative activities into the field of ART FOREGROUND.
