Born in 1981 in Helsinki, he is a performer, experimental musician and artist combining various media in sculpture, sound, moving pictures and installations. His first live performance was at the Exit performance art festival in 2001. At the beginning of the 00's he performed mainly with sound productions and experimental music. In 2011, he focused on performance art and has since performed at many events and festivals in 19 different countries. His performances are always related to the place and situation, the artist tries to redefine reality. Recurring themes are layered and build high tension to show human fragility using a sublime and even religious background. Timo Viialainen studied Music Technology, Theater Sound and is currently studying Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki.
